Who doesn’t love those fragrant cast-iron pancakes? However, classic pancakes are high in carbs and fat. With BÄKKER High-Protein Lavash, we’ve transformed that traditional flavor into a completely healthy and convenient option. No need to roll out dough! Fill our thin lavash with protein-rich cottage cheese and fresh greens, then pan-fry until crispy. It’s 100% local and athlete-friendly.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 BÄKKER High-Protein Lavash (Tortilla)
- 4 tablespoons of Ricotta Cheese (or low-fat white cheese)
- 1 handful of fresh spinach or fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter (to lightly grease the pan)
- Red pepper flakes, black pepper, a pinch of salt
PREPARATION STEPS
- Filling: In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the ricotta cheese, finely chopped spinach (or parsley), and spices.
- Filling: Lay the BÄKKER lavash flat on the counter. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the lavash, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Folding: Fold the empty part of the lavash over the filling side to form a "D" shape (half-moon). Gently press the edges with your fingers to seal the filling inside.
- Cooking: Heat a wide, non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease the bottom. Place the gözleme in the skillet. Cook until both sides are browned with those signature spots and crispy (about 2–3 minutes).
- Serving: Remove from the pan, cut into triangular slices on a cutting board, and serve hot. Enjoy!
