INGREDIENTS

  • 2 thick slices of BÄKKER High-Protein Bread
  • 100 g lean ground beef
  • Half a dried onion and 1 green pepper
  • Half a tomato (diced into small cubes)
  • 1 sprig of parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of Cheddar or Mozzarella
  • Salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes

PREPARATION STEPS

  1. Prepare the Boats: Using the back of a spoon, press down on the center of each BÄKKER bread slice to create a "boat" shape with high sides and a hollow center.
  2. Filling (Raw): In a bowl, thoroughly mix the ground meat, finely chopped onion, green pepper, tomato, parsley, and spices. You can add a small amount of water or olive oil to prevent the mixture from drying out.
  3. Filling: Spread the raw filling you prepared in a thin layer into the indentations you made in the center of the bread and press down lightly.
  4. Baking: Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for about 10–12 minutes, until the ground meat is cooked through and the edges of the bread are crispy.
  5. Cheese Touch: About 2 minutes before removing from the oven, sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top, keep in the oven until the cheese melts and browns, then serve hot.
