INGREDIENTS
- 2 thick slices of BÄKKER High-Protein Bread
- 150 g thinly sliced chicken breast
- 4 tablespoons Strained Yogurt (Garlic-flavored is optional)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, thyme
PREPARATION STEPS
- Crispy Base: Cut the BÄKKER bread into dice-sized pieces. Fry in a pan or bake in the oven until crispy, then spread them on the bottom of the serving plate.
- Cooking the Meat: Cook the thinly sliced chicken in a non-stick pan with a little oil, thyme, and black pepper until the liquid has evaporated and the chicken is lightly browned.
- Iskender Sauce: Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the tomato paste, hot water, and red pepper flakes, then simmer for 1–2 minutes to create a thick sauce.
- Assembly: Spread the garlic-flavored yogurt over the crispy bread at the bottom of the plate. Place the hot chicken slices on top of the yogurt.
- Finishing Touch: Pour the sizzling hot tomato sauce on top. Serve hot with a roasted pepper on the side. Enjoy!
